Freehand, not stenciled.

Anybody can run a guard over a head. The line work is where a barber shows you what they can actually do — drawn by hand, into the fade, while you sit there.

How it works

Bring a photo, or let us draw it.

Most people arrive with a picture on their phone, and that’s the easiest way to start. If you don’t have one, tell your barber what you’re into and let them draw something — that’s the part they enjoy.

It’s cut into the fade with a trimmer, freehand. No stencils, no transfers. A design lasts about as long as the fade does, so most people come back on the same rhythm they already keep.

What it costs.

A design is an add-on to a haircut, not a separate appointment. Every barber sets their own menu, so start where they start.

Haircut + design
From $40, about 40–45 minutes. It is roughly five dollars on top of the cut on every menu that carries it — $40 with CachiBlends, $45 with Reynaldo, ChrisCutz and ChrisDaBarber.
Haircut + design + beard
From $50, about an hour.
Haircut + design + eyebrows
From $55, about 50 minutes.
Who does design work
Four of the seven barbers carry it on their menu — Reynaldo, ChrisCutz, Chrisdabarber541 and CachiBlends. Pick one on Booksy and their exact prices are there.

Questions.

How long does a hair design last?

About as long as the fade underneath it — usually two to three weeks before the lines start to soften. Most people get it redone when they come in for their regular cut.

Can I bring a picture of what I want?

Yes, and it’s the easiest way to do it. Show your barber the photo at the start of the appointment so they can tell you how it will sit on your head shape and how much room there is to work with.

Does a design cost extra on top of the haircut?

Yes, but not much — on most of the barbers’ menus a cut with a design is about five dollars more than the cut alone. Cut with design starts at $40 on CachiBlends’ menu and $45 on the rest.

Do you use stencils?

No. It’s cut freehand with a trimmer, drawn straight onto the fade.

Can kids get designs?

Yes. Kids’ cuts are for twelve and under, and a design can be added the same as any other cut.
